Re: John E. Water Machine

I am sorry to hear you think your machine isn't worth the money. My brother and I bought the #5 machine over a year ago and love it.I have city water and after running the machine for 3 months the heater section malfunctioned.I found the heater section was loaded with crud and one of the wires was burnt off the terminal. I couldn't believe it. After that I installed a 5 micron sediment filter along with a whole house carbon filter.I also redesigned the wiring on the heater section. I called Mr. Ellis to give him a suggestion about future wiring of the heaters to cut down on machine malfunctions . He was very polite, positive and thanked me. Since then Ive produced approx 600 gallons of water or more. I have checked the heater section and it didn't have hardly sediment in it. I cleaned it and it runs like a champ.
I checked my ph when I first started it was between 7 and 8
call it 7.5 I have 5 gallon glass carboys and usually make 20 gallons at a clip. I find the machine runs better letting it go 3 or 4 days straight. I save the over flow water and treat my well at the other home I own due to high sulfur. It helps. I use the water in the kids fish tank. The seaweed and the fish are growing like crazy.Ive changed the water maybe twice in a year. The water is still fine. As far as the over flow water turning green Ive never had a problem. I have one container since day one with no signs of any green . Im wondering if you flow rate is to high. I set my machine so the water trickles in and it make 5 gallons in exactly 10hrs.
As far as expense goes I did the calculation cost per gallon based on my electricity bills and it works out to be .50 a gallon or 2.50 per 5 gallon bottle for ultra pure water vs bottled water delivered in plastic at a cost of 1.30 a gallon or 6.50 per 5 gallon. Thats a 4.00 savings per 5 gallon bottle. How can you compare jon ellis water vs bottled water? You cant! I make enough water for three househlods 18 5 gallon containers a month thats a 72.00 savings over bottled water per month. cost of unit 2800.00
in 38.88 months the machine is paid for. Little over 3 yrs not to bad!
When it comes right down to it , its not about the money or expense ,its about putting into your body the most purest product you can control making your own water.Even after filtering the water and removing the chlorine before it enters the machine it still amazes me how much heavy metals drop out of the water into the distiller that would normally end up in our bodys.
I would like to thank Mr. Ellis for having the vision to invent a machine that gives us a piece of mind that the water were drinking is at is purest state. The water his machine produces tastes fantastic . Im sorry you feel the way you do and think your machine was a waste of money. I hope my response might help you reconsider your feelings.Im a little suspect to your theory toward cheaper alternatives. What migh they be?
