Poison Ivy...the root of the problem!!!

It seems like everyone has a "treatment" of the symptom of poison ivy. Doesn't anyone have a natural elimination for the plant itself? I have donned my Tyvek suit and sealed my self in and pulled (roots and all) for 10 years. It just keeps coming back and my sensitivity grows every year, until now I think it is in the air! I'm fixing to spray with Round-Up for Poison Ivy....or 2-4-D...if I can't find something really soon! Oh, yes, painting Lugol's on the skin is the best thing I've found so far to "treat" the symptoms...but don't cover it up, it will burn.
