Re: How does Iodine affect Iron levels ?
The funny thing is trapper, my local doctor has now opted out of the research program, (says he's too busy to be sending blood tests or collecting data), so I now deal directly with the researchers themselves. Only one of the people doing the research is an MD, the other 2 people are bio-chemists. I think this is probably why they have more interest in whats happening and the effects of
Iodine supps, because they aren't obliged to provide big pharma drugs, they are just interested in results. I know one of the bio-chemists has read a lot from this forum. There is also other research going on in Aus , with the use of
Iodine to treat type 2 diabetes and insulin resistant hypoglycemia. The view here is slowly changing in regards to supplements. I read in a magazine, (Better Homes and Gardens) that my daughter had, about
Iodine and FBD. It explained the need for iodine supplements to treat breast problems. This is a mainstream mag that my daughter buys for quilting patters, so the journey is long and slow , but get there , we will.
As far as MD's caring about patients, I don't believe they do.
