the healthiest cookware you can use is enameled cast iron.

I have a couple regular cast iron pans as well, but they are only used rarely, or actually never. Best to avoid all the elemental iron you will pick up from the cast iron cookware. A major burden for the body to eliminate.

I'll also add, these nonstick surfaces... teflon, or whatnot, allow cookware manufactures to use cheap stamped steel, or aluminum frames that don't heat evenly, lack mass to maintain a constant temperature, and are basically disposable junk.

Enameled cast iron is really an investment, but will last several decades and can be passed down. There is actually quite a selection on eBay and you can sometimes luck out and find stuff at garage sales.

A couple summers ago I found a beautiful le creuset piece for something like 2 dollars in near perfect condition. This piece at a store would have easily have gone for 150 dollars.
