Here's how you can "cleanse" your non-organic produce:

This (above) is what we do, when we can't afford/find organic. We live in "the sticks of Iowa" and if it weren't for a TOTALLY bizarre (for this area) community/university (http://www.mum.edu/) that "funds" a great lil' organic market - we'd have a 5 hour round-trip to 'anywhere' that stocks organic produce.

Wildcrafting? YAY!!! (actually "double yay!" :)
Garden? YAY again!
Farmer's markets? (there may be one somewhere near you perhaps)? YAY

Azure Standard indicates that they will not ship/UPS produce BUT if you tell them that you'll be responsible for any damage (or the condition when it arrives) they will UPS it. On orders over around 50 pounds, this works out to around $1 a pound (which is a "grrrrr", for sure). HOWEVER, the prices are EXTREMELY low (38 pounds of organic juicing oranges for $25; 20 pounds of organic Fuji apples for $16.50; 25 pounds of organic carrots for $21.00). With our local prices (outrageous), even with the shipping, this is MUCH cheaper than we can buy ANYwhere (except farmer's market...but nobody grows oranges in Iowa, and nobody has any apples left).

(Example: with shipping 20 pounds of organic Fuji apples is $36.50...that's $1.85-ish a pound).

Another option for A/S (if you live in their delivery area (west of the Mississippi/various states), for a $500/550 (???) minimum they will deliver to your home (no delivery/fuel charge except in some states) - and the delivery charge is less than 10% of the order). We go in with my cousin once every two months and order all KINDS of healthy "staples" (cold-pressed, extra-virgin, organic olive oil, $38.50 per GALLON!; raw/organic apple cider vinegar $8.45 a gallon; canning jars; maple sugar/syrup; organic blackstrap molasses; grains; frozen organic veggies/berries -!!!-; gardening supplies - the list is endless - and their selection is truly phenomenal!)

Big oops (me) - I just checked some of your past posts and see you're in Canada - I don't know if A/S ships to Canada or not...but still, it's good information to post for everyone.
