I did not mean to sound critical of the sun-up to sun-down fast. I used to work with a young Moslem man who fasted like that and took it very seriously, but could hardly wait to eat when it got dark. No, my first experiences with fasting was a longer fast, I am still more comfortable with 24 hours or longer. With disciple, dedication and purpose we can gain much with any fast. Longer is not better in spitirual matters, honoring God is what counts. Tweet
