Re: and I'll work it, 'cause I'm worth it! ;-)
Hi pj, I didn't intend that my message imply or recommend doing enemas every day, when I used the word regularly I meant it to convey "as required" to relieve constipation or as a routine cleanse as desired. Personally, I never allow myself to go for more than 48 hours without a BM. If I haven't had one by then, then it's time to turn to the enema bag, which I usually do about once a week or so.
However, the fact is that many people today need assistance in keeping themselves regular and with a clean colon. More people than ever are taking prescription drugs that have side effects that include constipation, and in some of those situations, the only way that they are able to have a BM is with the help of enemas.
Another lesser known condition that occurs far more frequently than most people imagine is known as cumulative constipation. This is a situation where the person's bowels move regularly, yet fail to eliminate 100% of the waste matter. This happens among all age groups, from children to senior citizens. Even if you eliminate 99% of the waste matter inside you every day, in less than 4 months you'll be carrying an extra days load. You can do the math to figure what that means over the course of a year, 5 years, ...
So for me personally, I'm fortunate to be able to have a monthly (or more frequent if necessary) colonic, and I ususlly opt to take at least one enema weekly in between. It's a nice feeling to be clean and empty down there.
