Why would any group expose themselves as being silly fools?

...To see if they CAN get control, and get away with it.


The stakes are very high. If you can pull a stunt like this, and get away with it, money people feel they'd be fools NOT to try.

The rational, of course, is that, if they don't, someone else will.


But, just because they can see 'how', doesn't mean they can predict the future...what will happen if they do.


Personally, I think they have bitten off more than they can chew...that they have a mess of tigers by the tails.


They daren't let go because tigers bite.


Also, most people are both resourceful and kind.


Inequities and hardships are happening, and will escalate, but as Ma Joad observes in 'The Grapes of Wrath', "We are the people, and we endure."


If we decide how we want things to be, if we remember the wisdom of our forefathers, we will endure.
