Re: day 11 update and stats
Congrats on achieving 11 days!
Yes it's has been weird for me when sometimes people seem to notice weight loss and sometimes they don't. No one seems to notice the 15
lbs. I've lost in the last 7 weeks of intermittent fasting. Maybe because it has been pretty gradual. I wasn't doing it for weight loss per se, so it's OK if they don't notice. I just wanted to experiment with it and see what kind of effects it would have on me.
I have OCD, so I can totally understand the thing about ending on a certain day because it seems better.
21 is one of my numbers (for reasons related to the number 3) and so on one of my fasts where I wanted to break it because I couldn't stand drinking water any more around day 19, I still had to go a couple more days to make it 21.
Oh, and I always have to start my fasts at midnight sharp. If I go even one minute over, then it doesn't count. I've been able to work on this through intermittent fasting, because I have tried to change up when I fast and when I eat. Although now that I'm trying to do a longer fast, I seem to be reverting back to my old OCD ways. It's an ongoing process and someday maybe I'll be able to start a fast at 12:05 am. LOL
Oh, and I've cried too while fasting over the silliest stuff. I often feel super-sensitive to the world, like my senses are super-heightened and so I try to keep my environment as happy and peaceful as possible. It hasn't stopped me from crying over some innocuous thing my fiance has said to me that I've taken the wrong way though. He's such a trooper for putting up and supporting all of my crazy ways. It has been awesome the way he has supported my fasting, even defending it to other people. I guess he must be the one. =]
I love the feeling you get after the fast when your stomach has shrunken and you can feel really full on only a small amount of food. It's such a nice feeling.
