Liver Flush day or not, ample hydration is ALWAYS essential. Dr. Christopher recommended EVERY adult (no matter what their size) to drink at least a gallon of distilled water daily. The general rule of thumb now-a-days is to take your body weight (in pounds) and divide it by two. The result is the number of
ounces one should drink daily for even minimally adequate hydration. And if one drinks any caffeinated beverage (dehydrating), one should add 'double the amount of
ounces in the caffeinated drink' of pure water, to make up for it's dehydrating effect. So if one drinks 8
oz of coffee, they should add *another* 16
ounces of water daily to their water intake.
Imagine your liver (or any other organ) completely hydrated - "juicy", biliary ducts & veins elastic, lots of general flow, and full of thin, oxygen rich blood.
Now imagine it in a state of dehydration - "dried", biliary ducts & veins shrunken and tight, lack of flow, and full of thick, sluggish blood.
Now imagine how that dehydrated liver...and doing a liver flush. (yikes). Hydration is ESPECIALLY important on '
Liver Flush day' :)
--As noted in the post/link above, it's REALLY important to know what comes out our liver when liver flushing. There might have been liver flukes in that 'made of stone' bowel movement. If so, you need to know that.
If you don't know how many stones came out, you have no way of knowing if you simply emptied your gallbladder, or if you opened up the liver. Each and every time you flush, the stones will be somehow different. Generally the ones from the gallbladder are more smooth/rounded, with less of "coating". The deeper one gets into the liver (also "generally") the more one sees bigger stones, all kinds of shapes, and all kinds of coating (yellow/waxy coating is very common)...and many times when you get really deep into the liver, you see calcified stones that are black, brown and sometimes even red.
The general rule of liver flushing: is to flush consistently (every two weeks, or more often if one chooses or has a major illness), until the amount of debris coming out is CONSISTENTLY LESS than the flushes before. If one has no idea what's coming out, one has no way of discerning when they've flushed adequately.
So be SURE to get yourself a colander, and start washing away the fecal matter so you have a good idea of what you're yielding (or what you're not).
Healthiest of blessings,
