Re: So if I get tired but continued to fast, would I have more energy levels (or at least not faint?) edit
The fasting masters all recommend rest as much as possible.
so, given that that's the optimum, and allows for the most healing and cleansing, just keep this in mind, and adjust your life as much as you can.
Be very gentle with yourself, move slowly, be mindful...
Have faith (this comes from reading the fasting lit. and preparing)
Most helpful, is to tune into a sense of love and care for yourself, almost the way you would treat a small animal or a baby bird. If you have that attitude, then you have compassion for yourself, and you won't be approaching the fast as if it were a war against weight, emotions, your own mind, etc. etc.
That makes a big difference, i believe.
Of course, some people don't feel so good about themselves in the beginning, and can feel depressed when some of the padding of food is taken away--but that shouldn't last too long, and might not even apply; some find that the
Water Fast itself generates a feeling of compassion for self and others. Once food is let go of, then you see with different eyes, and it can be quite a revelation. Gentle and peaceful.
Easy to see how this sort of state wouldn't mix with much of the usual BS that passes for normal life and its activities. This is partly why it was recommended that one be disengaged from the world, resting-- and supervised. The "supervised" part is in view of that fact that most people who were fasted by the masters were "inebriates", addicted to food and drink, and oftimes generally quite unwell.
It's really good to read some of the old stories.
should be some links in the R messages?
