Re: Pregnant after Mirena

Well, i just had the Mirena removed on April 22nd. We have two children already and don't mind having a third but I really preferred to wait awhile, take vitamins, etc. After removal I was told i would bleed a lot... but just had spotting for two days and then a perhaps one-day period(?). So, didn't think i needed any protection...oops?

Now I feel totaly pg! Got all the symptoms (morning sickness, dizzy as usually have low blood pressure anyway and a bit of abdominal cramps that I had with my first). Just had a check-up with ob/gyn who said its unlikely that i'm pg, but did give me a recommendation for a HcG reading though I think i need to wait at least another week as I can't be more than 3 weeks pg.

Feeling a bit scared as I'm feeling quite yucky (just like the first pregnancy - feel as if i've been hit by a train - bad morning sickness and really feeling faint). I got the impression that my insides (particularly uterus) are working overtime to take care of a baby on the way.

Had mirena for 2.5 years and only occassional spotting. Really liked it a lot that I didn't have periods - but decided to get it removed bec it was causing an Acne problem.
