Pregnant after Mirena

My husband and I were thinking about getting pregnant with #3.

I've read that it's probably best to wait about 3 months or so, but my Dr (whom I'm really not listening to) said that it's fine to get pregnant the day of removal.

Just wondering what others had to say about this.
And if anyone has had problems with their first pregnancy after Mirena.
