Personally, I think the whole moderator thing is a kind of trap for people, that starts out sweet and ends bitter, UNLESS they stay anonymous, and only concern themselves
with good/ bad alerts. Then there is no personality involved, and nothing to attack (or defend)

So, although I knew nothing of the background of this new mod's first post, and it looked a little abrupt...i think
her/his approach makes good sense.
