I am a mod at a another board, I know all that goes into it. I found that message very off putting, though it certainly may not have been meant that way. Won't know since she wont post.
To introduce yourself as a mod and at the same time tell everyone basically dont try to talk to me just seems wrong to me.
Sorry if I have taken this the wrong way, but it just doeesn't sit right.

Hah, good! I haven't been able to log on for ages, now I think I know why. I have been in discussions with another moderator about swapping moderator privileges, and I think it's just been done. We were waiting on webmaster, it seems to have just happened. I don't know why now.

So good, I am done in here. Seriously, I have really had enough of being an open moderator. You get cretins writing and complaining because they think you are too old, on a power trip, don't like what you say. WTF? When I was just giving advice, it was bang bang bang, and thank you. and that was just to EXPLAIN myself, not help someone. I am just not prepared to waste my time like that anymore. Then another one, thankfully I was away.

Honestly, if people want me to act like a servant, and say what they want me to not what I think, and shout and bawl when they aren't treated fairly, well, tough. They are gonna fail in life anyway.

Now, on the subject of being a moderator, 25% of the stuff I have had to deal with is on fairness. "you deleted so and so's post, but why didn't you delete theirs?" I described it to Loosie (bless her sweet cotton socks, lol) as being like Ben Stiller trying to control the people and animals in the film "Night at the Museum". 70% is dealing with a handful of people who think I want to be "in control" and authoritarian. You people have absolutely no ****ing idea what I am really like. I am sick to death of you. That's the reason I want OUT as a known moderator. Oh and the other 5% is all what I ever wanted to take on. Deleting the odd spam message and duplicate post. And maybe giving an R or two. I thought by being open I could be fair and try and nip conflicts in the bud with a sense of humour. How wrong I was. Instead my very presence as a mod created those conflicts.

Anyway that's it. Quite frankly I hope the new person is a but tough.
I'll still continue to give advice, but it will be spread across forums, and vary according to my mood. Oh and the other thing is I used to try and be fair. Not anymore. Now I'll speak my mind.
