I know ACV is good against candida, but I'm a little afraid of using it in an enema. People have reported (severe) irritation of the colon after taking an ACV solution enema.

And what harm might it do to the gut flora, I wonder? I mean, ACV is acidic... the colon is (supposed to be) alkaline, right?
Bifidus bacteria can only survive in an alkaline environment... so I've heard. Thus, wouldn't the ACV kill the beneficial bacteria too?

That's why baking soda seems better to me than ACV.

Has anyone had good experiences with ACV enemas? If so, what solution did you use... how much ACV on how much water?

Edit: I just read somewhere: "Please note that any acid containing liquids used for enemas (vinegar, lemon juice, etc) can chemically burn you colon mucosa (internal layer)! Make sure the concentration is right!"

I already thought that the 'candida' people describe coming out after an ACV enema might actually be colon mucosa.
Also when there's some blood with it, it seems to me that it's caused by irritation of the colon.

I don't want to cause any harm to my colon...

What are your ideas on this?
