Hi Lisa_77,
ACV, lemon juice and other acidic solutions can be very irritating to some people. For others they work wonders. I happen to be very sensitive to lemon juice (juice of ½ lemon in 2 quarts of water) and ACV enemas and don’t take them.
Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is highly alkaline and does not destroy candida at least not effectively.
You could try to take a lemon juice enema and see if you have bad cramps. If not you should be ok to take either lemon juice enemas or ACV enemas. For lemon juice I suggest the juice ½ lemon in a 2 quart enema. Make sure that you strain the juice very carefully. You don’t want any seeds or pulp in it. It could clog the nozzle. I believe that lemon juice enemas are gentler than vinegar enemas, whether ACV or other.
After taking these acidic enemas for a few days you need to consider taking probiotics orally and rectally to replenish the good guys (enzymes) killed by the acidic enemas.
Please read my blog titled “My challenge”, link to it below. Any questions just ask! I will try to answer them.

Hi ketchup ,
You are absolutely correct. Usually our bowels are slightly alkaline and certain bacteria will thrive in it. Taking a slightly acidic enema will counteract this condition.
Thanks

Is it true that baking soda is lethal to candida?
No, it is false. Candida is dimorphic, which means it exists in two forms, yeast and fungal. Acidity helps to keep Candida in a non-pathogenic yeast form. An alklaine environment turns Candida in to a highly aggressive and pathogenic fungal form. In its fungal form Candida forms finger like protrusions called hyphae that allow it to dig deep in to tissues and organs, which is why this form is so dangerous.
And if so, would taking a baking soda solution enema help eliminate candida in the colon?
Nope.
Are there any sources that confirm this, clinical trials... personal experience? Anyone?
