Re: One more thing
this house is ground contact on two sides with a slab foundation going from front to back.
one thing we did different this year was keep a hot fire in the earthstove insert. this radiant heat warmed the contact wall it is next to, the slab, and much of the rest of the house. it was very comfortable, but it kept areas, especially the concrete and masonry, warmer than usual.
we have had ridiculous moisture, a year and a half of near constant rain, and this has kept everything much wetter, including the slab, lawn, floor, etc.
there are times now that we have stopped using the insert that the smell of smoke is overwhelming in the house.
we have forced air heating and cooling with a fairly good return air system.
any suggestions or tips regarding any of this?
