Your posts confuse me. I have been trying to figure out what you are exactly saying, and I think I finally understand.
You keep mentioning the use of chlorine dioxide gas as a remediation method. I agree with you that this is not the best use of it, but it has been successfully used this way.
I think you are better off eliminating the source of the moisture, and cleaning up and removing the existing mold and mildew and removing it from the house.
I believe you have mentioned something similar...
I go a step further and point out that chlorine dioxide gas can penetrate nooks and crannies that are inaccessible to normal remediation methods, unless you plan on total deconstruction of the premises and contents of the house. It can also prevent mold and mildew regrowth after the initial remediation should there be an upset in moisture conditions within the house, for example during a power outage, or after adjusting settings to reduce costs, or after taking a shower.
