thanks for asking. yeah, this was actually the first "physical" symptom I got from the Mirena. it is alopecia areata (big bald spot, not the thinning associated with hormones). It has been gone for 2 years, and just flared up again a little while ago. Sucks, I like my hair. B12 was tested a while back (when it first started) and just had d checked-both are good.

I would guess Bayer is running everything they put up through legal now. I think they know the pot is stirring. As far a pulling it...there are already new versions of it in the pipeline. My guess is it will be norplant all over. they will use the perforation as an excuse to pull it, never address the rest of the side effects, and then release it as a new product. *predictions by mamaj*
