There are blood flukes, liver flukes, and intestinal flukes. Blood flukes are microscopic whereas liver flukes can be seen in the stool.
Some folks will see liver flukes when they do liver flushes - they are usually the older, weaker ones that are flushed out. This is when they discover that they need to do a parasite cleanse.
I am almost certain that the habanero pie would have run so much capsaium through his liver that some of the older flukes could not handle it and "let go" and were therefore flushed out.
