Even inhaling a little chlorine dioxide into the lungs and I mean very little, could be worth it in a bad flu outbreak if you don't have a nebulizer or CS, not something I'd risk normally though whether Jim Humble thinks it's safe or not. certainly some in the air, even a undetectable amount can destroy airborne viruses, maybe just the off gassing from preparing Miracle-Mineral-Supplement would be enough to disinfect you house.
Of course unlike CS, ClO2 gas is capable of causing lung damage with enough concentration and duration of exposure, something to bear in mind
