had to respond-off topic- Canada remark

I walked into my employer's office this morning and said, "That's it, I'm moving to Canada." The presidential race aside, I really hate that 11 states passed 'constitutional' amendments prohibiting gay marriage. In my state, we even went to far as to prohibit civil unions of any kind between homosexual people.

It just feels evil and discriminatory to me. Luckily, I am one of those people who will be 'allowed' to marry my choice of mate because I am heterosexual. Lucky me that I am in the 'majority' in terms of sexual preference; my future won't be affected by people making decisions about what person or what gender I am allowed to love if I want my relationship to become a 'legal contract'.

It seems I am in the minority in terms of tolerance and respect for others unlike myself. Hopefully the next eight years will be followed by a 'rebirth' as predicted by the Mayan Calendar or I may become Tracey's neighbor.

Okay, no more politics out of me!
