Kerry just conceded.
I really expected Kerry would win too.
I hope it's ok go off topic from this forum for a bit.
I see the republicans also won a majority in the senate, in the house, even of governors too. When the 3 or 4 justices who are expected to retire in the next four years do so Chimpy will install a fundamentalist Christian majority in the supreme court. All this red, the political power has become so unbalanced now.

So now the dangerous trends of the past four years, rather than being reversed, will only intensify... American isolation from the old alliances, reduction of privacy and civil liberties in the name of security, budget deficit from Military spending, raping the environment (strange times when Russia is more ecoconscious than the US) etc. etc..

I'm proud to be part of the blue Northeast but it's very disheartening that the forecasted record numbers of young people coming to polls never happened. I don't know what that means. It's also disappointing that Florida, hardest hit by global warming, still votes Bush back. And so many states like Ohio, devestated by the nu-trickledown economics, still vote him back. It's tough for me to understand but people keep citing just that they like Bush more than Kerry. America was founded by leaders who debated progressive ideas and principles, but today we've just degenerated into this superficial teevee culture, it's very sad.

I think about 2012 in terms of like a V shaped graph. I think of the world problems like personal problems. People have problems, life gradually get worse and worse till you hit a low, then, with hope and determination, life gets going again. I worry because I think about all the horrible power struggles that humanity has gone through in the past,
The Roman Empire, The Crusades, The Napoleonic Wars, Imperialism,
WWI, The Third Reich, The Cold War
and if these weren't low points for humanity I'm afraid of the lowpoint it's gonna take. But like as we grow up we have horrible power struggles too. We fight teachers, other kids, parents, coworkers... but for those who are doing it right, and gradually becoming happier, the struggles always go on a spectrum of shifting from fighting an external enemy towards fighting an internal enemy, fighting ones own prejudices, ones own fears. Everything is just bound together more and more in the world. You want to talk about some crazy co-creation look at the terrorist/anti-terrorist cycle. What we do to the planet and what the planet does to us. People are going to see, the soldiers, the farmers in the midwest, ranchers in Texas, realtors in Florida, they're going to get what they asked for, even the Corporations got a check in the mail I believe.

And this gives Hillary Clinton a shot in '08. Couldn't ask for a clearer sign of a shift to the female energy than getting a chick in the white house :D I hope you had a good theme year dream.
peace
