Chicken Little Syndrome! I quess people are a little hard of hearing, fear will do that.
The amount of CO2 absorbed by distilled water is many times less then what you absorb from the air.
Let me repeat!
To prove this for yourself get a EC meter, take your freshly unexposed distilled water measure both the EC and pH, there should be a perfect neutral pH and zero electrical conductance.
Now let it set long enough to collect minute molecules of CO2,, remeasure the pH and EC again! The pH will lower to a false low and the electrical conductance will not rise to any significant measurement !
It will still not conduct electricity simply because there is no measurable amount of any element in your distilled water to do so, your distilled water is still pure!
