The proposed care you have outlined above sounds good, keep it up and don't rush, healing takes time.
Accupuncture is a 'placebo medicine' - basicly it's psychological rather than physical as it's really just a relaxation technique and the needles are 'window dressing'. You can't tell your pets to just relax and visualize then stay perfectly still as the needles are being placed/removed.
Chiro 'adjustments' are physically harmful to already damaged and inflamed tissues, and pets are extra sensitive to potential permanent damage. Their bodies are much smaller and more fragile and can be easily hurt by manipulation. Just don't.
Swimming is a good recovery therapy - it's gentle and supportive of healing tissues and keeps muscle toned. Locate a nearby vet that has pet aqua therapy available for best results.
