Re: Very gentle exercises only
wow! I am really suprised. Why is it that chiropractic care is sooo helpful for humans, but not for animals? can you ellaborate on that? I admit... with him having surgery, I am very very worried about chiropractic... I'm afraid it would hurt him...
And, the same with acupuncture. Why is it so affective for humans, but no affective on animals?
You seem to be very knowledgeable... I just want to pick your brain further..
Oh, and these would be just supplementary to what we are already doing for him. we take tons of time and care with Foo... you know how it is.. he's my baby.. and I want nothing but the best for him... I'm thinking as far as prevention it would break down like this..
approx 40% of the prevention of more damange would come from lifestyle changes.. (no jumping on furniture, off bed... stairs, etc. )
approx another 40% would be keeping him lean... to eliminate stress on his spine..
10% would be nutrition, and supplementation.. (making sure he gets all he needs to keep him healthy)
that would leave 10% for additional things.. like phyiscal therapy (I'm thinking of adding swimming for him) doggy yoga... and this is where accupuncture, etc would come in..
if I could get an additional 5% prevention out of accupunture.. it would be totally worth it for us..
