You are in a big ballroom

You are at a conference in a huge ballroom. It's packed, and everyone has 4 drink tickets.

They are from all over the world. And there are a number of individuals with people surrounding them, listening intently to every word. And there are people standing on the perimeters looking at the individuals, mocking their speaking style, their content, their toupee, whatever.

There is another conference across the hall, but you stay in this conference because there are some really interesting people.

By the way, the conference is free, the doors are open and anyone can come in. And you are free to leave.

After you use two drink tickets yourself, you want to get up on a podium and scream "Fire" and hope that most will leave. But there you are, still in that swirling mass of humanity, and you have zero control. The conference ebbs and flows. You are sure there are criminals there, as well as the mentally ill. Also some extremely brilliant people. There are nice people, and really mean people.

I'm personally on my 3rd drink ticket, but have settled in a fairly oily group of individuals. They are pretty nice, funny, smart and appear to be without conflict. It's blue skies in my group.

I can see the snake oil salesman out of the corner of my eye. I turn my head, trying not to make direct eye contact. Whoa, someone in that group just threw up on their shoes....gross.

After my 3rd drink ticket, I go into the back of the conference where everyone is yelling at each other. I have my opinions too, so sometimes I yell too. But usually leave before I can be fully attacked. I'm just on the edge of yelling "bar fight", but decide that I might get hit with a flying bottle of pee.

I do have people coming up to me, and I don't want to talk to them. So I don't answer their inquiries. They forget about me pretty quickly, because now they're asking someone else. If someone yells at me, I just slip away into the crowd.

I'm now on my 4th drink ticket. I've managed to slap the shit out of about 4 people that really pissed me off, and the crowd is so big, that I manage to get away without a big fight. I'm back in my group, sort of hiding. It's so oily in that group nothing seems to stick to it. I like it there.

Someone donates another drink ticket to me, and so now I'm creating a bit of a spectacle. I can't seem to shut up. I'm hovering over my body and I sound like a blithering idiot. Can't seem to stop. I need to hydrate. I hope no one remembers this incident at next years Curezone conference.
