We have all suffered loss.
We live in the High Sierra, at 5200'. We've lived here for 7 years and learning to garden in this climate has been quite a challenge. The temperature can vary by 40 degrees in one day, the temperature can vary by 40 degrees or more day TO day. We have high winds and freak snowstorms in July. This year it was in the 60s in January.
A few years ago I planned the most amazing garden ever. I did a lot of research and found all of these exotic varieties of thises and thatses, I remember particularly I had 12 kinds of melons, from Charentais to Tigger to Kazakh. 6 kinds of tomatoes...started all of the seeds in flats so that we'd get a jump on our all-too-short growing season. We get the best light in the master bedroom so I put the racks of flats there, next to the bed. Dreaming next to the sprouting seedlings was Nirvana, it was really special:)
We put the garden in the first week in June. We had friends to help, we were very organized, everything was planned. I made markers to identify the varieties. Should have been fine. wasn't. Two days later, a killing frost. All of those beautiful seedlings blackened, dead. It was devastating.
We mourned for a couple of days and then put the whole danged garden back in. We planted seeds, didn't bother marking what was there and we also got plants from the nursery. We watched the garden grow, and it grew.
No, it was not the garden that I planned, but we ate well from it that year, as we have in years hence.
My lesson from my loss is that we need a greenhouse here:)
You could start a new blog rather than grieving for your lost blog. Yes, your old blog is irreplaceable but it will be better for your psyche if you concentrate on what you can create now rather than what is lost. And I'll bet that you could even make it better, you have grown as a person, haven't you?
And I would suggest making back-up copies on your computer, you could even have an external hard drive.
time to let it go. your quest is lost in the convoluted way you are trying to fix the problem.
No, I don't know the whole story, but I am capable of interpreting signs. And if my requests were being ignored, I would take that as a sign that nothing can be done, so it's time to formulate a new plan.
So, what are you going to do now? Are you going to keep taking the same approach, which, as you can see, has people thinking that you are a pest and a bit loony? Or are you going to try something new, which may result in some rewards?
