Edit - Re: Generic acyclovir instead of Valtrex...

when one studies minerals and their complexes with proteins (fats and carbohydrates too for that matter), we realize that body metabolism succeeds or fails based upon the availability of macro and trace minerals.

To take it a bit further, a virus is a piece of DNA or RNA protein with a protein coat... an acid.

Olree's book is an interesting read on minerals and their protein partners... in fact, he states of zinc, "Zinc is needed for metabolism of nucleic acids and the synthesis of proteins. It is an integral part of DNA for cell division and synthesis."

When we look up zinc and herpes - cold sores - rhinoviruses - even hoof and mouth... we find that zinc, an alkaline mineral, will quash the replication of the acidic virus... this was found to be true in the 1970's I believe.

Which leads one to ponder... who is making money off of keeping this information away from the mainstream?

AND - is the virus but a rogue protein, or a lost protein piece of metabolic manufacture in search of an available zinc ion?

Give it what it is looking for and poof - problem resolved.

Now, is one able to resolve these issues over night? NO! It takes time to resolve mineral deficiencies AND, one could have a plethora of deficiencies that need ameliorated before the body begins to once again work properly.

Is one, once they have resolved a zinc deficiency, good to go for life? NO! That is not unless they are getting high quality full mineral spectrum foods and beverages in their diets for the rest of their lives.

Become mineral deficient again - suffer again.

Edit - I believe the the term "cure" is misused everywhere these days... including curezone... resolving an illness or degenerative disease is a lifelong pursuit that requires attention to diet, lifestyle and environment for life.

End Edit
