Re: she needs to see her doc asap
Well...... tired from the anemia makes sense. but she sure as heck shouldn't be still bleeding THAT much. Was she high stress/anxious before the mirena? Did they check her for ovarian cysts when they did the ultrasound? that would explain the pain. They are a common side effect of Mirena.
I cannot tell you how many of us have been prescribed anti-depressants for the anxiety (I didnt have depression). For me, it was total BS, and made me worse. (seratonin syndrome). And they wonder why the use of antidepressants has gone up so much in the last couple of years. Next, they will say antidepressants cure cancer!
(Oh, sorry, I have a personal beef with them...they may help her....).
At this point, as much as i have been through, and seen others going through, i would say get the mirena out if you have a non-hormonal b/c option. (especially if she didnt have the anxiety prior) Unfortunately, we run into incompetent docs all over the country-it is not just in Broward. I found a great one-but i am in PA.
You are a great husband-and very brave to come onto such a hormone riddled board- unarmed!
*smile*! Hang in there! Jill
