a book that bridges both our worlds?
Hi Truthseeker...I just want to say that I know of a book that might just bridge both our worlds. Last night I clicked on the link you posted here (and in the
Spirituality Forum earlier today too) and watched the video on the bible code etc. So, I see you're a religious person. Anyway, the book is the new biography on
Edgar Cayce by Kirkpatrick.
Edgar Cayce was a deeply religious man, read the bible many times, was a Deacon at his local church, taught Sunday School to children etc etc. From an early age he started to have strange psychic experiences (all well documented and if you're interested it's all in the book...wow!)...which led, eventually, to him being able to lie down, go into a deep trance and diagnose the illnesses of people who he had never met...and provide a 'cure' that usually consisted of something for body mind AND spirit. He thought this was his purpose...to help sick people...and he and the people around him who documented all his cases (he gave several readings a day) called the entity that spoke through him and knew everything, The Source. Anyway...one day The Source started talking about Astrology! Out of the blue...the Source gave readings based on the challenging or harmonious aspects within the clients 'natal chart' - saying things like, "Jupiter's influence on this body drives him to excess" etc etc....going through the positions of the planets as they were when the person was born. Well!
Edgar Cayce was very very disturbed by all this! HE didn't believe in astrology! THEN the Source started talking about reincarnation! yikes. Anyway....the book is very very fascinating and I think you would be interested in it. Near the end of the book he talks a lot about the bible - because he did several readings on the life of Jesus...and even had the Archangel Michael speak through him...and, oh the list goes on. So, you might want to take a look at it. It really did open up mind!
That's all.
I wish you well!
