If you are able to type your message, you are doing WAY better than I was. The way I found out I had pancreatitus was ending up on my death bed. If you're able to type your message, you have caught it early enough to have a very chance at a good outcome. You're not alone. I've always thought of myself as a very tough human being. In my law enforcement career, I've been in gun fights, knife fights and countless fist fight but Pancreatitus made me cry like a little girl. It scares the be-jesus out of you. While dangerous, it is not the end. You fight it by convincing yourself while the fight will be long, you will continue the fight until youre better. It may take lots of teeth gritting but you have to do it. I was the worst case my doctors have ever seen. Not only did I survive it but I'm doing great. You have to be disciplined. If you have a hospital stay do not lay around. Walk and get exercise, if you drink, stop it, it beats up your pancreas, cut back on fatty foods it too is rough on your pancreas. Lastly, don't read the dang internet. I made that mistake and read horror story after horror story until I was convinced this was the end. Every human is different and all respond differently to treatment. Convince yourself, YOU will be one of the ones that beats this dang thing. Lastly and most importantly pray, pray, pray. God listens! He did for me and I'm good to go today because I just asked him. If you don't believe, I'm sorry if this offends but if one truly believes in him (like I do) why not share it. You will be in my prayers tonight. I'm sorry you have to go through this, I know what your feeling and I know it sucks.
