sunflower seeds

So what's the difference between hulled and un-hulled sunflower seeds? I'm still very new to this. I just bought a couple of grass kits that came with all I needed including seed and nutrient. The photos you see is my first time growing wheat grass.

I would really appreciate your input regarding sunflower seed sprouting.


BTW that gray fungus on that tray, I believe, is due to me feeding it with Blackstrap Molasses. besides the fungus I also had bugs lay eggs in it. There were maggots eating away at the roots right before I trashed it. I actually just transplanted it outside on a patch of dirt.

Maybe Molasses would work better in soil. As far the hydroponic goes, I would steer clear of molasses in the future.

The gray fungus was more like black specks. It was distinctly different looking than the regular white stuff that grows on there.
