Re: Weight Loss: Water Fasting -v- Fuhrman, so far
Mouseclick,
I fully agree with L*u*l*u*s post.
So nice to hear from you L*u*l*u.
Natural Hygiene endorses lifestyle changes as the most important, rather than just one element within that change such as Fasting. In other words: health is "built" and not "bought," by all of the agencies of Nature.
Just so long as we adopt ALL of the elements of natural living which includes an abundance of fresh air, judicious sunlight exposure, pure water when thirsty, a high water content or nutrient-rich diet, ample rest and sleep, and exercise, in such proportion that the body needs and requires, then health will come in leaps and bounds.
The vital part, is that we actually listen to our bodies as to what it actually needs.
Being overweight is largely the result of what
Shelton referred to as "wrong living habits" and where society today is heavily influenced by vested interests: the medical profession is dominated by the pharmaceutical companies, and our eating habits are governed by the food corporations and mass advertising. Is it really any wonder then that people become diseased and/or overweight as a global epidemic, as a result?
The contraindications to fasting though are very minimal and where fasting is an extremely safe process, after all, all we are doing is feeding "internally" instead of "externally".
Fasting though is a much more expedient process in healing and cleansing than any diet could ever be, and where diet alone or any of the other agencies of Nature may not be sufficient in the short to long-term in reaching the desired results in achieving absolute wellness.
Nothing else really compares.
