Perhaps 1 in a hundred is in the beginning spiritual state. That would make 3 million or so in the US. At that point anyone with a little energy can pretend to be a guru after reading a few books.

I had a friend who when he was about ten years old had visions of Joan of Arc and Mary ,mother of Jesus. He had a fairly powerful presence and very peaceful looking eyes. He could have easily been one of those types if he had wanted it which he didnt.

A true Siddha is orders of magnitude beyond those who only talk.
