Re: High mercury levels..
If you are unsure about your test, try getting a hair analysis test, as it is considered a little more reliable in testing for the presence of heavy metals (it is still not completely accurate though). I highly recommend checking out the Chelation: Cutler Protocol section of this website. Cutler seems like he has the best understanding on this issue. Cutler warns that before doing any chelation, to have all
Amalgams replaced with non-toxic ones and to wait a couple months. Also, Cutler warns against using cilantro and chlorella because although they are chelators, there is a risk of them not completely eliminating the heavy metals and instead moving them to other parts of the body that may be even more harmful, such as the brain. I was taking pretty high doses of chlorella a while ago and it was really making me feel like crap.
I did a hair test recently and tested slightly high for mercury and very high for arsenic. I have started the Culter Protocol, with very good results so far. I have noticed that my candida flares up as the heavy metals pass through my bowels to be eliminated, but this also tells me it is working.
Please be careful. The first thing to remember is not to cause more harm.
