Followed your link, are you saying staying alkaline has helped your knees?
Re the OP, I also have knee problems and the swelling thing from sports injuries and a lifetime of jogging.
I've found that icing for 20 minutes after a run really helps. I know it sounds like I don't have much of a problem if I run, but I almost bought a cane at one point and if I dared try running, would not be able to walk easily and w/o pain for a month after.
