Re: Food combining/Fasting (w free Fuhrman Audio :)
I am listening to one of his website members area teleconferences while I exercise right now, and it's called Fasting / Caloric Restriction / Life Extension and the comment is "It's best if we don't eat recreationally, but it's better if we eat the amount of calories that we need without taking in an excess amount of calories."
It was recorded on 30 November 2006. About six minutes into it he mentions his 1995 book, and says it was addressed by some people in the scientific community who reviewed it and wrote an article criticising it. Then it appeared in magazine and places, and community doctors and dieticians said there were no such things as toxins and he didn't know what he was talking about. Then he goes on to say that they don't know what they are talking about, and cites medical references. I have already made up my mind who I believe, and wouldn't be surprised if that article criticizing him was sponsored by someone.
Anyway, it may be - and I think Chrisb1 mentioned this - that he does not mention fasting or food combining so much because it is not accepted mainstream. And after seeing the diabetes video, I think I understand why. Well perhaps there are two reasons, money and people's opposition to change.
One point that is coming across clearly - eat large meals less often, don't snack, that will add years to your life. The body needs time to fast between meals. So more lifestyle changes for me.
I also saw "Food Combining Diet" by Kathryn Marsden (1993 and revised 2004) on my Supermarket shelf for a pound, so I bought it. Have not read yet though, am doing other things first.
