be careful not to extend the fast for too long a time period, where the average person (not overweight) would have to fast approximately 40 days or more to exhaust their nutrient reserves.
It is also known that the nutrient reserves can be exhausted sooner rather than later in someone who is overweight at the outset of a fast, compared to someone who started their fast of average or below average weight.
I think it would be advisable not to extend your fast beyond the 40 day mark and certainly not beyond 50 days as there is the distinct risk of the onset of starvation.
A lot depends on the quality of your pre-fast diet, and for how long this diet was maintained prior to its commencement.
