The ProGen is a dual channel machine, actually they call it one channel plus pulse.
That is the same as the F125 but there is no benefit other than the cost of the F125 vs. the cost of a new ProGen ~899.

To run more than one channel using ProGen you need to buy the multi signal kit from RL and of course one or two more ProGen.
The F165 will work out of the box and with a BNC T you can use it to run two channels (+ pulse) simultaneously using both outputs, the upcoming F175 will be able to output onto one BNC cable and be a cleaner solution to run two channels simultaneously.
So if you already have a ProGen then this isn't so great but if you can knock ~899 of the price of the PERL without a ProGen and not have to buy the multi signal kit and a second ProGen then this is far cheaper.
As for running two completely different frqs, I don't know, I use it to run the same frq with a harmonic of 11x.

>> I guess. Are you able to power the F165 off the Perl or do you use the adapter?
Yes, I use the adapter since the special cable I needed to buy from RL only has a BNC connector.
