I was always told with IUD's that you had to have been pregnant to get one, b/c your cervix/uterus would be stretched out enough to handle it. I can't imagine inserting one if you haven't been--I keep reading about women having excruciating insertions and I think this is why....
It's like all the rules changed with the stupid Mirena...5 years? what is that? old IUD lasted 10-15 years...and ovarian cysts are NORMAL??!! Who are they trying to kid--they are pushing this thing on EVERYONE and it's supposed to be the answer to everything.

I hope your symptoms subside, but if they don't--print out what you have read here and take it to your Dr. if he/she gives you any guff about your symptoms!!
