Re: help with cancer pain
I can relate to your head spinning - there is no lack of advice and alternate cancer treatment protocols out there (over 350 seperate protocols at last count), and it can be overwhelming in the beginning. You have gotten some good advice here, though I think some of it may not be practical given what you have described. If your dad and mother are determined to go with mainstream treatments, which of course I would almost never recommend, then I will offer some things that I know are helpful:
First of all, I would say that a good diet and cleansing and protecting the liver as much as possible would be essential.
Milk thistle is a must and two great natural food additions would be coconut oil and beetroot juice.
Oleander, available as the herbal extract Sutherlandia OPC, helps offset chemo and radiation and either eliminates or significantly lessens all known side effects. It also boosts the immune system, which mainstream treatments would otherwise severly impair, and, most importantly, greatly increases the survival rate for both chemo and radiation. An increasing number of progressive integrative doctors are prescribing oleander along with chemo and radiation.
Essiac tea helps alleviate chemo and radiation side effects and is also a good toxin cleanser and overall tonic for the body.
Curcumin also help alleviate chemo and radiation side effects, helps protect the liver and is an immune booster too.
All three of the above help make chemo and radiation treatments more effective than they normally would have been and all three are also cancer fighters, particularly oleander and curcumin.
Plenty of sunshine/Vitamin D3 is another must and I would include iodine too. EFT could help with the pain, as might Valerin root and the homeopathic aconite. Valerin may also aid in getting restful sleep, which is vital to enable the body to heal itself. Acupuncture, chamomile tea and epsom salts baths may help with pain and relaxation too.
