Re: Black Cumin Seed for Cancer, Immune Disorders, Asthma, Cooking & More
I guess far and wide have different meanings to different folks. I did a Google search for pages that had all of these words before I made my post:
"black cumin black caraway"
and I got back 36,700 hits. When I went through the first couple of dozen I kept seeing over and over and over again where black cumin was referred to as black caraway and vice versa.
If you do a search for"Nigella sativa black caraway" you only get 6,330 hits.
The thing is that black seed, aka black cumin, aka Nigella sativa are often referred to as black caraway. Which is not to be confused with the common spice caraway any more than it is not to be confused with the common spice cumin.
It does not matter if it is referred to far and wide or just a few places incorrectly or correctly. The important thing is to make sure people know to get Nigella sativa no matter what it is called and they will have the right one.
Thanks for the info to let me know to update my posts and article so no one made a mistake. You might be right - a black cumin forum might be useful, though I am not sure how many are aware of it yet.
