So i finally broke through the plateau. I had a somewhat drastic drop (about 5.5lb) around day 18 and have been steadily dropping around 1/2 lb a day. I never felt particularly uncomfortable, I was just worried because it was something that i had never experienced. Currently my energy is higher than ever, and to be honest i don't even feel as if i am fasting- physically, I just feel great. One thing that has occured since my plateau is a heightened sense of smell, and to be honest i cannot stand it. I work in a large office building and simply walking down the hall the smell of "people" wafts at me. Similarly, the smell of cooked meat makes me want to gag. I've experienced something similar, but never so pronounced as this.
I appreciate all of the input, it is nice to hear the opinions of fellow fasters, and learn more about the overall process. There is so much conflicting information out there, I find it highly beneficial to review what works for individuals, and their experiences, versus "the norm".
