Hi Wombat, I should of said 'without causing problems with his already damaged heart' :) I don't believe Iodine causes heart damage at all in fact I believe that it can protect the heart from damage, my Dad has already sustained a great deal of damage to the heart muscles from the chemical cocktails that he was sprayed with during his time spent fighting in the vietnam war. It has taken him 30 years of more fighting with our government to get this fact recognised for him and other vets.

Dad has contacted two of the Iodine aware doctors that V recommended yesterday and is awaiting replies, a cyclone has hit the area where my Dad lives so he is out of computer communication for a while.
