Flax is contra-indicated if you want to follow the Master-Cleanse the way Burroughs' intended, but I'm a maverick and well, if you don't get SOME fats now and again you'll just manufacture gallstones! It's a known fact that fasting and vegatarianism and low-fat diets are major causes of gallstones. Even skipping breakfast will create gallstones. So I'm all for taking in a tablespoon of oil now and again while fasting. Flax, cod liver and occasionally EVCoconut oil are wonderful. I keep forgetting, it's one of the things I'm working on myself to get more into the habit. :)
