Actually, carrot has a cleansing action on the liver and helps it to release more bile, which will cause peristaltic action.
Since I'm going to the juice bar for lunch every day I'm having more BM's even tho my fiber intake has gone down. I highly recommend the combination of carrot and apple as it is so great for the liver. Even better is to add either beet (liver cleanser) or parsley (kidney cleanser and all-around PH balancer).
