Re: Anyone using Gleevec or know someone using it?

Hi there,
I am on Gleevec now and have nearly completed the second month.
I was operated on for a big tumour in the stomach in September and tests showed it was GIST and unfortunately, not benign.
Now I am told it is in the bowel and the liver also so I am hoping the Gleevec will reduce these in size. I asked the Dr. could it spread further and he said it was everywhere. All I needed!!!
I can't help wondering if it will reduce the size of the existing ones that are showing on the CT and PET scans.
Would like to hear from others also on this subject.
