Re: Iodine and dragging immune system

Wow, no I don't think you're not appreciating my advice, clearly you've tried things and your situation is more complicated than mine. Don't be afraid to wean yourself off of the thyroid meds and the progesterone in whatever way is appropriate. That reminds me, I haven't gotten any "monster painful zit" inside my nose in a loooong time, and not just since I've been pregnant. In my own case, cleansing didn't work until I changed my diet and started the slow nutritional recovery I am still working on. I ate soy and it screwed me up. The more I read about copper toxicity, the more I think I've been recovering from that for years. I think eating the meat and fat of pastured animals and lots of eggs from chickens living outside has helped tremendously with zinc, if copper toxicity was part of my problems. I had to eliminate gluten from my diet, and I keep wondering if that is related to copper overload and various deficiencies (including iodine) / out of balance nutrients. One day I may be able to eat it again, who knows. If copper toxicity is a problem, eating lots of liver may actually be a problem. I doubt a milliliter of butter oil / cod liver oil combo each day is going to make the copper worse, and according to an article I just read, can be part of healing. I've only been taking that combination since I've been pregnant - before that, I sometimes took cod liver oil. I don't overdo it with vitamins A & D.

Selenium - I take this T.E.Neesby Aqua Sel, selenous acid, one or two drops a day (on the days that I think about it! I take nothing consistently).

All I can say is, lots of research, go slow, and if you can find a naturopath to help you, so much the better, as long as you trust that person and don't follow the person blindly if something doesn't work. Homeopathic remedies and Chinese herbs might help if you're having a lot of problems.

I wonder if the CLO is causing you to use up something else you have precious little of, like B vitamins, contributing to inflamed gums? No idea. If you have metal fillings, even worse. My "diet" consists of some fermented foods with a lot of bacteria and presumably all the B vitamins they produce.
